After graduating from Sam Houston University with an Agriculture Education degree in 1960, he taught high school agriculture for six years before going to work for the Louisiana Division of Occidental Chemical. In 1978, he became operations manager for Killebrew Manufacturing where his primary responsibility was building side dump fertilizer trailers. In 1981, Larry took his years of experience and formed Galyean Equipment Company. His mission was to provide the farming industry with quality products at affordable prices.
